The beach at St Georges de la Riviere is a wonderful open space just 20 minutes walk from Les Mimosas. With a huge tidal change of over a mile (one of the largest in the world) twice every 24 hours. At low tide an enormous open landscape of rock pools and sand channels is created, exposing local oyster beds and a 'planet' like terrain providing endless exploration.
